02/10/2014.- A handout picture made available on 02 May 2015 of Migrant Offshore Aid Station (MOAS) employees throwing bottles of water from a dinghy of the ship 'Phoenix' to refugees in a rubber raft off Malta, 30 August 2014. MOAS was founded by Regina Catrambone and her husband Christopher, from Italy and the USA respectively, as the first privately funded offshore refugee aid station. The couple have rescued around 3,000 refugees from drowning in the Mediterranean in the past year. MOAS emphasizes that the organization does not personally transport refugees, but instead tracks down their boats when they are in distress and provides first aid in consultation with the Italian and Maltese navies.
