Semana clave en la causa contra Begoña Gómez: ¿cómo está el caso?

La causa contra Begoña Gómez, esposa del presidente Pedro Sánchez, afronta una semana clave con la declaración de un testigo y su nueva citación como imputada.

A partir de las 10.00 horas de hoy declara el empresario Juan Carlos Barrabés en calidad de testigo (aunque el juez puede cambiar su condición a imputado en cualquier momento).
Y el viernes se prevé que lo haga la propia Gómez, después de que el pasado 5 de julio el juez suspendiera el interrogatorio. Está citada como imputada, por lo que puede no responder a las preguntas.

Un repaso. El juez Juan Carlos Peinado investiga a Begoña Gómez por tráfico de influencias y corrupción a raíz de una denuncia de la asociación ultraderechista Manos Limpias que sostenía que la esposa del presidente medió para que se concedieran ayudas públicas a empresarios con los que trabajó.

¿Y qué tiene que ver Barrabés? El juez cree que en los contratos que recibió desde diferentes organismos públicos pudo estar favorecido por Gómez. Pero le ha citado como testigo:

La Fiscalía acusa al magistrado de actuar “sin filtro” y asegura que es llamativo que tenga esta condición pese a que se “transmite la sensación de que él es el investigado, aunque no se sepa bien de qué”.
Y la Guardia Civil ha emitido otro informe en el que no detecta irregularidades en los contratos adjudicados a Barrabés.
